The Northwest Weather and Avalanche Center and Cliff Mass indicate that the first significant winter weather system arrives this weekend, and while it's too early for avalanche danger, it never hurts to know where the snow is going to be. From the avalanche statement:

A series of weather systems will move across the region over the next several days, beginning Friday. These systems should bring significant cooling and periods of heavy precipitation as well as very windy conditions at times. The greatest snowfall seems likely in the north near the Mt Baker area and on the other Cascade volcanoes with the lower Cascade passes getting a mix of rain and snow at times.

Most areas have little if any early season snowpack thusfar, so these storms are not expected to lead to a significant widespread avalanche danger at least at most mid and lower elevation sites, but should begin to cover vegatative and terrain anchors.

Expect more frequent reports as the snowpack grows.
