The SDOT blog has a couple of good posts, the first about a new bike box coming at N 34th and Fremont. This busy intersection leading to the bridge and Burke Gilman definitely needs one. The Seattle Bike Blog has a detailed post as well.

Second, this earlier SDOT post has detailed information on bike parking in downtown. The highlight is the Center City Bicycle Amenities Map, a comprehensive Google Maps-based listing of bicycle parking areas in downtown Seattle.

Finally the bike path along Alaskan Way will be open Monday. Finally, no more train waits, detour, or other problems we've come to associate with the area. Great news!
