Seattle bike trail notes - Sept 23, 2012

The Seattle Bike Blog, Biking Bis, Cascade Blog, and Seattle government pages have a lot of good updates on area trails and construction:

The City of Bellevue is developing plans to close the 3-4 mile gap in the I-90/Mountains to Sound Greenway from Factoria to Eastgate. It's still pretty early in the process, but very encouraging news.
Both Cascade and the Seattle Bike Blog point out that the sandbags on the Green River Trail have been removed, opening access for the first time since 2009.
Cascade also has the latest update/detour at Fairview in South Lake Union. Expect this to change fairly frequently as the Mercer construction continues.
If you like to ride the Grand Ridge trails in Issaquah, there's talk of a third access point
