Some updates from the Park Service:
Due to the Hopper Fire, the
following trails are currently closed: North Fork Skokomish Trail from
Nine Stream to First Divide, Home Sweet Home Trail, the Scout Lake Way
Trail to St. Peter’s Gate at Mount Stone, the way trail to Hagen Lake,
and the Mount Hopper Way Trail. Additional trail closures may be

Cameron Pass Trail |

3.6 miles
4150 ft. to 6450 ft. |
Trail is snow-free to 6000'; patchy above, ice axe recommended. Top of the pass is snow-free.
Trail is typically very brushy from junction to 5000', with many hazardous animal burrows hidden by vegetation.
Bear canisters are required for Upper Cameron Basin.
Trail not recommended for stock due to steep grade.

Long Ridge Trail |

Patchy snow begins at
5200'. Mostly-continuous snow remains in Dodger Basin; campsite area
remains snow-covered. Dodger Point and ridgeline snow-free. 15 down
trees.
The trail between Michaels Cabin/Humes Ranch to the suspension bridge is now OPEN to stock.
Last reliable water source is a spring at 4420' this year; no water at Dodger Pt. (except somewhat brackish ponds).
