Update: another part of the route has been restored - the Dungeness River Bridge will re-open on Christmas Eve.

Some good news for those who ride the Olympic Discovery Trail on the peninsula. First, a feasibility study will be conducted on a 6 mile stretch of SR-20 that makes it extremely difficult to connect the ferry terminal to the main trail. It's the first step to the actual construction of the trail. Donate here. Update: here's another good article from Washington Bikes.

Second, construction on the Spruce Railroad Trail - part of the ODT - is now complete and the entire trail is open.

Finally, there's money in place for a tunnel restoration and another half-mile of trail.
