The climbing report for Mt Hood is out, doesn't look like a great weekend for a summit attempt:
The full climbing report is here.
The weather this weekend may be less than ideal for climbing. A disturbance is coming on shore late Friday and should affect the mountain for duration of the weekend. This system will bring cool, moist air and light to moderate Northwest winds. Saturday into Saturday night looks to be the stormiest period.
The mountain received 2 inches of new snow Wednesday at 6000ft., accumulations are likely greater at higher elevations. Daytime temperatures have been well above freezing, freezing levels are hovering in the 9-10 thousand foot range at night. The intense sun and warmer temperatures have been quickly softening the snow each day. Ice fall has triggered some shallow wet slides as well as initiated point releases and roller balls. The new snow received Wednesday will help maintain the possibility of avalanches associated with the warming each day.
