There was some new information about Adams' conditions in the report this week, long winter there just like everywhere else in the Cascades:

With warmer temperatures in the area be advised that avalanche conditions increase throughout the day.  By mid-morning snow conditions are very slushy - start your climb early!  Most climbers are still ascending the winter route via Suksdorf Ridge though the snow is starting to bottleneck in a couple places and many skiers are now using the summer route via Crescent Ridge.

It is still about a 2 1/4 mile hike to the trailhead from your car.  Currently there is about 4 feet of snow at the Cold Springs parking lot.  Snow pack is patchy around 5000 ft and solid in the 5600+ ft range.

There are some forest road updates as well:

The 8040 Road is open about 1/2 mile past the Morrison Creek Campground turnoff.  When parking do not block traffic.  Roads to the South Climb Trailhead will be slower to melt out this season due to unusually late winter like conditions.  Check back for updates.

The 23 Road out of Trout Lake is open to the 90 Road but closed due to snow north of that to Randle.

As always, the full report from the Forest Service can be found here.
