Mt Adams Climbing Conditions - September 17th, 2011

If you still want to get in a climb of Mt Adams before winter sets in, you've got two more weeks until fee season ends. The latest report warns that the glissade chute should not be used, and there may be running water at some times of day:

At this time there are rocks exposed in the glissade chute leading up to Piker’s Peak (false summit).  Glissading in this chute is NOT recommended at this time.  There is running water in Morrison Drainage at 6900 ft and on Lunch Counter.  Be aware that water may not be flowing at all times of day so you should still be prepared to melt snow.

The full report is here.
