Climbers are required to pack out their human waste. Human waste bags are provided for FREE at the Mt. Adams Ranger Station. CLIMBING ROUTE INFORMATION Weather in the mountains during the winter is very unpredictable. We have several feet of new snow on Mt. Adams. Please check weather and avalanche reports before climbing, carry your ten essentials, and prepare accordingly. Climbers may be ascending the winter route via the Suksdorf Ridge, depending upon snow depth. While climbing ALWAYS carry crampons and an ice axe. Do not climb in hazardous weather. Help is a very long time coming and cannot get to you in poor weather. Prepare to melt snow for your water source on the route. Everything you take on the mountain take off the mountain (Pack it in Pack it out).

close the 8040 Road from Morrison Campground on. If you can access
the Cold Spring parking lot all vehicles must display a valid Recreation
