The WTA's Signpost Blog reports that there will be significant changes to Camp Muir - the high camp before heading to the summit of Mt Rainier - in the coming years. Several replacements for existing buildings are expected. This shelter is going to replaced by a new one designed to match the historic look of the Public Shelter:

The toilets, shown here in the foreground, will be replaced and moved somewhere less prominent.

The Public Shelter is also supposed to get a ventilated cooking area. Overall, these changes should be a significant upgrade to the existing facilities.
