A few updates:
  • Mt St Helens climbing conditions show only patchy snow on the Swift Ski Trail (part of the winter climbing route).  The road to Climber's Bivouac and the summer route is still closed.
  • A permit is required if you decide to climb Mt Adams. The latest conditions are here; climbers are using the winter route.
  • The parking area, facilities and roads near exit 52, Denny Creek and Franklin Falls, are going to be improved.

  • From the release:
Some of the changes proposed include: closing the parking area adjacent to the Denny Creek trailhead; gating the road to that parking area at the bridge over the South Fork Snoqualmie River; adding three new segments of accessible trail at Franklin FallsDenny Creek campground and the Old Wagon Road; and adding three new parking areas northeast of the Denny Creek Road.
